Has anyone successfully polished the diamondplate rock guard and other trim on their QuickSilver, or is it just a waste of time?

I polished some of the exposed and unfinished smooth aluminum. I used a power ball and both liquid and paste aluminum polish. I quit because it's a lot of work and I didn't think it was worth it.

The diamond plate would be much worse because it would shred the power ball or just about anything else that you could use.

After a thorough cleaning with a brush and car wash soap, I successfully used 303 Protectant on the diamond plate. It doesn't make it shiny, but it makes it slippery so stuff doesn't stick to it. Perhaps any spray wax would work?

diamondplate rock guard wouldn't shine as bright as chrome, so regular detailing and cleaning will do just about the same.
I use RV polish on my trailer and it everything shines pretty well: https://www.camperid.com/star-brite/premium-rv-polish-mpn-75732.html
