We recently returned from a 2000 mile trip over two weeks and toured southwest Montana and Central Idaho.  This is our longest trip with the CL.  The new F-150 towed the camper through the mountain passes and unpaved roads with control and ease.  Trading in the highlander was the right decision.   Gas mileage is equivalent between the F-150 and highlander at around 13-14 mpg.

I experimented with towing with and without the Andersen WDH.  I can not tell much of a difference, so it is tempting to leave the WDH at home.

We stayed one night at a walmart, one at an electric NFS campground, and the rest was dry camping at NFS or state campgrounds.

The temperatures fell to around freezing on a few nights and it rained fairly hard several nights.  It was good to put the furnace to the test and observe any leaking.   A minor water issue was condensation forming under the trusses and one of the studs.

With the exception of the cabinet falling down, I am happy with the trailer's performance.  It may not be as stylish as some  other camping trailers, but its functionality, durability, and easy of towing are excellent.
