Camplite Ad

Livin Lite has a full page ad for the Camplite line on the inside back page of Trailer Life. That's a high impact, high cost ad location. I see they are touting the fully enclosed heated underbelly now and don't mention that it's an option. The photos are all of the 21BHS.

Is it the fibreglass side ?

The ad doesn't say what the sides are made of, but it shows the 6 colors available. It says aluminum "superstructure", which leaves open possibilities of other materials for the top, sides, and bottom. The Java interior is dark and rich looking. The Alpine interior is light and airy looking.

I'm very intrigued by the enclosed and heated underbelly, so if anyone gets a camper with that feature, we need a full report!

I have a 2018 16TBS with the fiberglass sides and the enclosed,  heated unbelly. I haven't used it in cold weather yet, so I have nothing to report! The trailer is the Platinum Edition, so if I can possibly answer any questions, I would be happy to.

If I wanted a heavier trailer with wood interior, rubber roof, composite floor, fiberglass sides,enclosed basement and just one axle, I would be looking at the "Comet". Which they list for $17grand.

Very interesting! How is the underbelly heating accomplished? Are the tanks enclosed too? Can the enclosure be removed? If you ever have any photos of the underside, it would be great to see them.

Underbelly heating heating on 3-4 season trailers is usually done by ducting some of the hot furnace air underneath. These are usually the higher end trailers with better insulation and double pane windows like a LL. I suspect the cost to enclose the underbelly and duct heat is low and it puts LLs into that higher end catagory.

I always thought it might be fun to take my camper and park it in a ski area lot and ski for a few days or take it to a hunting camp in the late fall/winter. This upgrade by LL would let you do this (with plenty of propane).

heated underbelly !??

Ok so we can ski in May up here...we kinda cheated...sure made the gin and tonics go down easier during our annual May long weekend ski trip in Banff.
