This one is one of the waterfalls at Fundy National Park in New Brunswick, Canada. I thought I'd try posting a larger image -- hopefully it fits your monitors without scrolling...

Hi J_Westy

That pic at Acadia National Park is beautiful. The south shore of much of Nova Scotia looks very similar.

Where is home for you, your Quicksilver and all those bikes? (I saw the pics of your impressive bike rack setup - very cool).

Home is Michigan. We took the Canada route from Sarnia to Montreal then down into New Hampshire and Maine.

We had so many bikes because my youngest isn't the strongest rider and we wanted to ride the carriage trails in Acadia, so we took the tandem too. Had a great time -- the bridges and scenery were beautiful!

Thanks! Just a jive iPhone4S picture.

If you didn't know, Cadillac mountain sees the earliest sunrise in the US... so it was a fun thing to check off the list even though we had to get up at 3:15am to get there from the campsite ;D

Detroit - When I brought my small but mighty Camplite11FDB back to Canada after picking it up at the factory I crossed into Canada at Detroit. For a small town boy from rural Canada passing through Detroit was interesting. For instance there were several intersections where the traffic lights weren't functional. (You don't see that in PEI  :D). I managed okay but it was interesting. At one set of lights that was functional a police car pulled up opposite me on the drivers side. He lowered his passenger side window and gestured to me. I thought "oh oh" since I was driving with no plates on the trailer. I lowered my window. He said "awesome trailer" to which I replied "thanks - I just bought it today". He then said "what did it cost" to which I replied the American dollar no-tax price. He nodded his head approvingly and we both moved on with the green light.

Here's a view of the 8-mile long bridge between New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island. A very big bridge! The longest in the world covering ice-covered water. In the winter there can be several feet of sea ice in the Strait and it puts tremendous strain on the piers. Most of the two-lane bridge is 131-feet above the water. There are 44 piers and they are typically 820-feet apart. It typically takes 12-minutes to cross at the speed limit of 80kmh (50mph). Winds can be gusty and the bridge is occasionally closed to high-sided vehicles.

The picture was taken from the New Brunswick side. PEI can just be seen in the distance. The water is known as the Northumberland Strait and its summer temperature is surprisingly warm. The Strait is reportedly home to the warmest ocean water temperatures in Canada, and some of the warmest ocean water temperatures on the Atlantic coast north of Virginia.

By the way the toll on the bridge (leaving the Island only) is $45.50 CAN + $7.50 an axle if you are towing a trailer. So with a tandem axle Camplite your toll would be $60.50 CAN. -- Not insignificant but necessary to pay for the $1,300,000,000 construction cost.

It is a shame the lighthouse isn't being properly maintained.  :(
