Nice! Look forward to seeing photos of your trip. Not sure we'll ever make it there but it's on the list.

Going to Iceland with your trailer is so freaking cool.  8)

A long while back I had written a blog entry day-dreaming about Iceland & camping. I'm glad you are doing it! If you are interested in reading what I wrote in my blog here's a link.

Right now my biggest gripe is that they had more snow this year than anytime before the last 20 years. Thus the whole of the interior is still closed because of snow. Normally most of the bigger routes should be long open and the smaller, more remote normally open some weeks later. But as every single trail is still closed this means that at least for my first visit much will be off limits.

Luckily I do anticipate situations like this and have split my stay there when I booked my travel. So on the 4th I'll travel through Germany and Denmark to the ferry, be on water for 3 days, stay in Icleand until the 24th, fly back, work 3 weeks, fly back up and stay for another 2 weeks before driving back. That second stay will give me the opportunity to visit all the places I can't the first time.

And yes PEIslander: Everyone should have Iceland on his bucket list. I've spend several months there so far camping in this wonderland and it never fails to amaze me.

I only have few pictures to share as my pics are on my camera which is still in Iceland.

Overall the camper performed admirably. I had some issues with excessive dust inside the camper until I removed everything and put tape over every single hole. The second issue is that in rainy environments there is no secure option to ventilate, none of the windows have a cover so rain cannot come in.

I'm extremely happy how the trailer handles rough road and washboard. Did a little bit of hard testing on that and was astonished how well it handled even under oversteer.

I filmed this as this allowed me to review the reactions later later: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6ENnPz1TZI4
