I recently had my wheel bearings repacked.  When I checked the torque on the lug nuts thereafter I noticed one lug nut was rounded off.  I am buying an extractor socket to remove that lug nut.  Has anyone replaced their lug nuts?  Not sure how to determine what thread pitch mine are.  I believe the size is 1/2" (which requires a 3/4" socket) but what thread pitch are they?  Any info on that would be very helpful.  Thanks!

On my camper with 13" wheels on Dexter Torsion axles, the lug nuts are 1/2-20.  I'll guess they are the same on all Camplites.

We were warned about the original 6 ply tires that came on our 14-DB being a liability.(Single axle) I replaced them at Discount Tire with 10 ply Good Year tires which I run 60 psi in. Since my lug nuts were rounded off they replaced them with Ford lugs which they had in stock for around $42. They are longer lugs and take care of the rounding off problem. I also put 10 ply Michilans on my Taco at the same time and run 60 psi in them also. They made the ride a lot more stable.

What business will pack and check all the wheel bearings?

Thanks

Any car mechanic should be able to do this.  It is a job you can do after watching Youtube too.

I agree with Chappy133 any vehicle mechanic can do it and the grease seals are readily available. You do need to call ahead to make sure the business has room to park and maneuver the camper in their service bay or parking lot.
