Shower drain problem.

We're on a fall journey from south Alabama to Wisconsin for the cyclocross World Cup followed by leaf peeping in Door County. Just as we got started, the shower quit draining. I tried all the usual things like hot water, plunger, vinegar/baking soda, all with no results. Next I removed the strainer and tried one of those plastic things with barbs, but still got no results. In desperation I decided to unscrew the drain flange and attempt to clear the clog with a small plumbers snake. The flange loosened a bit but would not come out of the shower pan as expected. I eventually got the drain to flow using long hemostats but unfortunately created a leak onto the floor whenever we use the shower. Assuming I've broken the seal between the shower pan and drain flange, does anyone know how to get the flange up so I can reseal? Since I obviously know nothing about this trailer's plumbing, how much damage have I done? I've called several repair shops and they're all backed up for weeks.

Forgot to mention that we're in our 2015 21RBS. Everything is factory original as far as I know. Thanks for any help y'all can suggest!

I can attempt to send a photo or two if needed. We're in a 2015 21RBS.

The 21RBS did not use a standard P-Trap in the shower, at least in 2014 and probably later years too. They used a new waterlees trap called Hepvo. https://hepvo.com/applications/rvs-campers/. They did this to save vertical space under the shower pan. Search Google for more info and Youtube videos. I'm not sure how you remove it but you have to access it from under the fridge, behind the power distribution panel. It sounds like you may have damaged it in the troubleshooting process.
Good luck and please report back on your progress.

Thanks Charlie, this explains a lot but I'm not sure I'll be able to look at it until we get back south. My power panel is on the right side of the trailer while the fridge is on the left. If I understand correctly, I'll need to pull the fridge out to access the drain. It seems  like the shower drain must be above the gray tank since it's not visible from underneath. I suspect my 21RBS is pretty close to your 2014 since it was built in September 2014 as I recall. Thanks for the help!

My 21RBS is actually a 2013 built very late in the year. The power panel is below the fridge on the left side so it allows access to the shower pan. I didn't realize the power panel was moved by 2015. I assume the furnace is still below the fridge. Pulling the fridge to access the shower could be a real PITA but you get the idea. Good luck.

This turned out to be a dislodged Hepvo trap. I had it repaired by an independent shop who said it was definitely a PITA. He accessed the drain by removing the panel next to the floor in front of the shower. We have had no leaks since the repair. Yet another reason why I'm thankful for an aluminum floor!

Aluminum floors are a godsend when unexpected leaks occur. One more attaboy for Scott Tuttle!
