A/C wall vent replacement

Hello everyone,
I just noticed that our a/c wall vent is cracked (photo).  I would like to replace it.  I searched the internet but couldn't a place where they sell such vent.  Any idea where I could buy one?

Thanks for that link.  I'll save it for futur reference.  Unfortunately they don't seem to carry that particular vent.  I'll keep searching!

I'm not sure from the photo/description what part is cracked. You might try some searches on RV Upgrades to see what they have. I know they carry vinyl trim and various sealants.

Thanks Merlin, I'll have a look at this website.  It's the black plastic frame that's cracked.  The center part of the vent is a metal grill.

Tricky. I've never seen a vent cover quite like that. You may be able to custom make one out of a sheet of aluminum flashing, sometimes called trim coil. The challenge will be to make it waterproof.

How about sealing the one you have with some sealant like Eternabond tape:

Several other possible fix ideas, Sylvain.

1. A friendly autobody person, they have special glues for fixing cracks in plastic bumpers. With all the kinds of plastics out there, he/she may not be able to fix it, but provide other solutions.

2. Plastic welding.

3. A replacement frame could easily be fabricated out of aluminum flat and angle by an aluminum welder. It's a small job for a shop, cash works wonders...
