Odd that thor would buy livinlite only to shut it down a few years later, maybe they are selling it back to Scott!! lol.

My first camper was a livinlite 10.0 tent trailer, bought another small camper a few years later (not LL) and now have a 2016 21BHS, a thor build but before all the changes so it has all the good stuff on it. The cabinet doors are wood but I don't mind it because the white interior is great looking.

Scott is invested in a different little venture. All the puzzle pieces are in place, so now we wait...

As far as closing it down, everyone wants to build quality, but modern production just can't stop themselves from being themselves. I don't think they bought it to kill it, I think they wanted to use it to help airstream and try to have a higher end option with quality. I think the commitment and cost was too much for the bean counters

We purchased our first 21BHS and probably our only trailer simply because it was all aluminum and free of wood and less likely to grow mold. Add the other issues that one finds with standard camper trailers interior, that are all wood and held together with construction type staples makes one ponder the longevity of trailer too. I saw this in some of the small camper trailers when you look under the bed storage compartments.  Walking around in a new camper at RV Show you can smell the off gassing of chemicals, glues, and who know's what else. For some it's a respiratory attack waiting to happen that was another reason we bought LL.

It's too bad the path Thor has taken LL camper trailers, as I started to notice the exterior finish work where the black band covered the floor gussets and hid the stabilizer jack mounting brackets had gone away.  The black trim band made for a cleaner look around the camper. It looks like they were cutting corners to save money on materials and labor. The LL campers are one of a kind, I hope they don't go away even with the changes. I always felt you get what you pay for and the original LL trailers were worth the price for what ya got.

FatDog2 - Agree with you 100%. And yes, this will be our last camping trailer. We our 2015 21BHS and it and it will last a very long time.
