Unless I can block the notification by email that I get every time I am mentioned, which as far as I can tell right now I can't, I am very opposed to this mention mod. It is way too intrusive.

I belong to and actively participate in a 8-9 forums like this one. My mailbox would quickly fill up if they all sent me an email every time my name was mentioned. Yeah I am bragging a bit. But I am an active contributor on all of these.

No problem for you popular forum guys. First, the poster has to intentionally tag you by adding the ampersand to your name. Casual use of your login name without the ampersand will not generate a tag.  Second, you can chose to either receive or not receive emails and/or PMs in your forum profile setting. Go to Profile>Mentions>Settings and turn them both off if you prefer. I like the feature because I can alert someone I think may have a better answer than I can provide.
