ATC General Discussion / Configerable Cargo Area
Last post by Hondo 1616 - October 06, 2024, 04:59:59 PM
Hello Everyone
I am new to this forum and doing some research on used ATC toyhaulers .  I am considering buying a 2019-2020 24Ft ATC toyhauler and was wondering if anyone has ever installed the newer feature, or if I am even able to install, that has the aluminum bolt-on trac on the sides of the cargo area that allows you to relocate your dinnette and other roll-over sofas throughout the back areas.I am trying to see if i will be able to fit my 4-seat razr. (See Attachments)

TIA
Alex

I realize this is a technicality but most light failures are caused by bad or corroded connections, not short circuits. Shorts blow fuses. If all fuses are good you should look for bad connections. Typically these occur at bulb sockets or where wires are connected together with some sort of connecting device such as a wire nut or terminal.
That said, owners have had trouble with wiring abrading against sharp edges in the aluminum framing. This will blow a fuse somewhere so it should be evident as opposed to a bad or corroded connection causing the failure.

Yeah I have the range hood fan/light not working.  It was intermittent but now it is out completely.  I am assuming I have a short somewhere.

Has anyone replaced the shade for the kitchen window?  Would like to know of where to find one.  Thanks

The switch was on.  I took out the lights one by on and found the short.

In Calgary I recommend a service visit to Standens. They have been maintaining our axles for the past 9 years. They identified all the areas on the aluminum frame that had compromised welds as well. They also realigned our dual
axles due to some abnormal tire wear. The booking availability can take some time, but, it is worth the wait. They are very thorough and reasonably priced.

Welcome, and enjoy your new trailer!

LL used only vertical bolts on their coupler installation. Under many circumstances that places odd stress on the coupler and causes bending. An easy solution as posted by Charlie is to install 2 horizontal grade 8 bolts per his post. I did that on mine and it took only a few minutes. I use a weight distribution hitch which does add stress at the coupler.

Interesting! I will definitely look into that. This is a known weak point?
