After reading these cracking issues, I am wondering about buying a used Camplite. We are looking for a little used 16DBS in excellent condition that was stored inside. Hoping that one will pop up. I will even consider a 2017/2018 model but would prefer the aluminum cabinets and exterior but will consider others.

Am I chasing a potential money pit with having to get the frame gusseted and welded?

Thank you David, we have a group 27 flooded battery that is just old.( was original when purchased last fall).

The battery will not hold a charge so it is time to replace. More than likely I will just buy a Duracell Platinum AGM from our local Sams Club.

Do you know if a group 31 battery and box will fit on a stock 2015 14BDS?

Ok...I'm in. I need a new battery and still not quite certain even after reading this.
1) If I go with the LiFePO4 battery I see for about $900 I still only get 100Ah. Then if I do that do I need a different charger?
2) Two GC batteries what size do I get? Do they make AGM 6v GC batteries? Do I need a new box to put them in?
3) Option 3 to go with a 12v Deep cycle AGM such as  ODYSSEY band still get 100Ah

I don't know what is the best value.

Well, sold the 16TBS to a friend last Saturday, signed the papers for a new old stock 2019 Lance 1985 on Monday, secured financing on Wednesday and proceeded to find out my TV needs transmission work to the tune of $4k on Thursday. And to make matters worse, the part is on about a 2 week backorder aaaaaand we're supposed to go camping in the U.P. with friends in precisely 2 weeks. Grrrr. Will the part get here early? Will I have to cancel our trip? Will we go but hotel it with a brand new camper sitting at home? Will we take our chances and tow 1200 miles with a front differential that is whining? Not bad yet but....Will I find a truck to rent or borrow? I think those are all my options. Stay tuned....

Lance builds a great trailer.....good quality trailer...note the hitch weight is 520# on the Lance and that's dry.  That being said..see the comment above
