Have you sourced the skylight out? Any idea where to get one? My unit is a 2015 21BHS. I've also noted that there are 2 vents (toilet I'm assuming) that also have cracking sealant around them, very near the skylight that are also cracking.

Hi,

Is the material around the skylight Dicor? I was up on my trailer roof today and have seen that it's cracking/ cracked and will need replacing. Thanks!

The screws are Robertson. Just was dealing with them today. Tried all my torx and then remembered.

Hello,

I need to replace the hydraulic rod that is supposed to keep my main door open. Its at the bottom of the door. Does anyone know where to get it and what the part # is?

I have tried generic rods from the local stores, but the ends that attach to the ball nuts on this one are small / unique and that pressure is also relatively low, 10# I think. I have tried using the number on the rod, but I think the ends may be special / specific to this application. Thanks!

I have seen three camera units at an RV show. You can toggle between all or any single camera. I like the idea of the side cameras so that I can see the far side of the trailer when I'm backing out an angle.  The one that I saw was made by Furrion.  The similar Voyager Unit that I see online is over $1000. I'd spend it if I have to, but that is a little rich for me.

Hi,

Voyager and Furrion seem to be the two better choices for backup camera's.  I'm wondering if people have experience with either of these, if they would buy them again, and if they have one they like, which is the make and model they have. I'd ultimately like to purchase three cameras set up with a 7 inch screen.  Thanks.

Sylvain,

Where do you live? If in Canada, do a Kijiji search for fabrication / welders in your area and phone them asking if they have experience welding aluminum. Likely there is someone where you like that has a mobile welding truck and could come to where you are. You'll likely have to drop the axle, if only 5 - 10 inches so the inside and outside of the bracket can be welded. The welder would have the final say on this.

You cannot weld steel to aluminum, as they are dissimilar metals. Good luck, and good catch!

If you are near Calgary, I have the name of a good aluminum welder. All welders should know how to weld aluminum, but most are likely not good at it, having learned it but not practiced it. They would also need a tig I believe, with aluminum rod.

Same happened to me. I had to wash all the lubricant I'd put on them off. At the end of the day, I tried harder to level using the wheels and tongue jack. Not sure if it's normal. I've never had a car scissor jack lower while changing a tire. Thought it was odd. If anyone has ideas let me know too please!

I've just been reading some posts here about people painting their roofs white to reduce interior heat and having remarkable results. Have you considered painting your roof?

You could use a digital multimeter or even a test light.

Both can be either expensive or cheap depending on the quality.  If you are not gonna use very often I will get the cheapest. Your local Walmart or automotive store would carry both. If you're running on battery power, you would expect 12.6 V or so, and if you were plugged into shore power,  you would expect around 14.4 V or so.

Hello,

I'm wondering if there would be any issues if I left my trailer plugged into shore power during storage? I park my camper in my back yard next to my garage and have access to a power outlet. Would it tax the charger or damage the battery? I do live in Calgary, AB, CAN and winter is a comin! ugh! Thanks! 8)

Ordered and installed! I went for the one you recommended. It is an exact fit. I'm thinking of ordering two more and installing them on either side of the bed! Thanks so much!!!

Thanks!! That looks exactly like what I need!

I checked for power as you suggest and indeed there is power there. Does anyone know where to get a replacement USB connector?
#15
Hi,

There are two USB ports in the power center on the wall near the stove top. There are two USB ports and one lighter socket. The USB ports were working and have stopped. I've checked the fuses and they all seem fine. Any ideas what could be wrong? Thanks!
