Quote from: the on October 14, 2022, 06:31:27 PMIf anyone is looking for lithium batteries at a better price, I carry Zpro lithium's at my kayak shop https://nobaddayskayak.com. I don't have them listed right now as I just launched a new site and am swapping over the inventory system, but just shoot me an email at support@nobaddayskayak.com and I can get some out to you. They should be on my site in the next week or two. The Zpros are designed and warehoused here in Texas by a UT PhD grad. The best thing is like the battleborns the Zpro's have electronics built into them that allows you to do a drop in replacement without having to upgrade your on board converter/charger. In fact, the charge profile was also designed to be similar to lead acid batteries. The second best thing is they are a bit cheaper. I can ship these anywhere in the US, the shipping is out of Austin TX. The 100aH 12v battery is 27 pounds in case you want to price out shipping. List price on the 100Ah 12v is $750, but I'm happy to give fellow aluminum camper owners a 10% discount!

More on the batteries:
These are a completely unique design, not just a bunch of off the shelf cylindrical cells wired together like battleborn. They use a custom prismatic cell, and I believe the 100ah 12v batteries are 4 cells. They have an 8 year warranty and greater than 2000 cycles at 100% depth of discharge. They also carry the ip65 water resistant rating. You can read more about the batteries here: https://www.zprolithium.com/products/zpro-12v100ah-lithium-battery

More about me:
Outdoor enthusiast, software engineer, business owner. Happy owner of a 2013 16dbs (purchased on this forum!). I spend about 6 months a year in my camper, all boondocking. I very rarely stay in a campground. I've got a 630 watt solar setup with a victron charger. Initial batteries setup was two golf cart batteries, now I have a 100ah zpro lithium. Stock internal converter/charger. I'm happy to talk about my setup. Profiling your power needs was the most important step for me. Happy to share my experience!

Cool to know that you bought your Camplite on this forum!

I have a local dealer that sells Intech, that's where I do my service for my Camplite, last time I was there they didn't had that model. I will check to see if they have some next time I go!

Quote from: RV Squirrel on July 06, 2022, 10:47:25 PMI'm surprised that they made the fuse so easy to get to.  Couldn't they have hid it inside one of the tires?  ;D
Haha yes, it still took me a while to find mine and it was directly on the radio lol but the cable was hiding it

Quote from: DavidM on June 09, 2022, 03:48:49 PMFWIW we camped last Sunday and Monday at a state park just past Saratoga Springs in the southern Adirondacks and of 100+ sites, only 5-6 were taken. Maybe the RV boom has begun to fizzle out.

With the price of gas I think they travel less. In my campground the number of seasonal as increased dramatically to a point that they now have a waiting list. There are multiple motorhomes that took a seasonal site. I think they decided to park them instead of traveling. It's good for campgrounds that take seasonal but not for the ones that take visitor only.

I have a fuse directly on my radio it burnt once and it took me a lot of time to find why the radio wasn't working lol

Tow Vehicles / Re: 2015 Tundra AGM Battery
May 26, 2022, 12:34:32 PM
In my F150 it comes standard with an AGM battery because of the start/stop functionality.

When my RV battery died because I had a blown fuse that was preventing it to recharge and I didn't check the trailer for many weeks I replaced it with an AGM.

I have found someone that can fix those fridge. The fridge doesn't go out through the door so he only took the cooling unit with him. The cost will be about 1400$ CAD. It was a bit hard to get out since its in a thight spot. I asked him what happens if you need a brand new fridge, he said sometime we can get it in through a big window or else we have to remove the slide to get it in.

Quote from: DavidM on May 25, 2022, 10:43:15 PMEvery time SW gets upgraded it seems worse until you get used to it. OK so far though,

Whoops, it won't let me read RV Squirrel's latest post.

David

I just checked and I see it?

I am using a similar procedure than David, but I used a different ratio of bleach I have used the ratio in this article https://blog.campingworld.com/rv-basics/sanitize-your-rvs-freshwater-system-in-5-simple-steps/ which said 1/4 cup of bleach for every 16 gallons of water your fresh water tank holds. I am using the bleach that says disinfecting on the label. I have also bypassed my water heater before putting the bleach.

It looks really nice!

Our refrigerator is not working anymore. I see that there is a yellow powder which I believe is due to an ammonia leak. I probably need a new refrigerator or is it repairable?
