Trailers for Sale / WTB 16 TBS 2012-2016
« Last post by graham on Today at 07:13:49 PM »
Interested in purchasing a well-maintained 2012-2016 (dual axle, aluminum roof only) 16TBS. Prefer one without any door paint bubbling or other significant mechanical or cosmetic issues. I've looked at everything listed on RVTrader, RVT and Facebook, and none of them meet our requirements for one reason or another, so willing to be patient for the right one to become available.

Thanks in advance!

Trailers for Sale / 2011 13RDB coming up for sale.

We have owned this 2011 13 RDB since 2013, and spent many happy hours camping in it.  We have upgraded to a 14 dbs and now will be selling the 13 rdb.  Its a great lightweight camper--one of the originals and the first year they had propane and propane appliances onboard.  All original with a 3-way fridge, a/c, furnace, hot water heater and two burner propane stove that can be used inside or outside on mount attached to side of camper, an option only on this particular year for CampLite..  This is a rear dinette model (queen bed) with an additional flip up bunk and jackknife couch.,  Wet bath/shower/toilet combo.  Trailer can sleep 4 with bunk.  I have removed bunk and installed wire rack shelving and a hanging clothes space. The shelving is easily removed and bunk and mattress re-installed.  I have also installed wire rack shelving on sides over dinette benches.  Great storage for a small camper, in addition to the overhead and under dinette storage. We used it as a 2 person and occasional 3 person sleeper.  I had the rear bumper fortified with additional aluminum 2x4, according to factory recommendations, in order to attach spare tire and carrier. I also added double 20lb. propane tanks with auto changeover regulator and tank cover, and installed aluminum racks for carrying two house batteries.  Trailer only has one battery, but rack is there. New tires, new complete brake assemblies which include new backing plates, brake shoes and magnets, and new wheel bearings and races.  Trailer has a 2500lb Dexter torflex axle and unladen weight is 1725 lbs. The awning has some tears which are taped with awning tape and it does not leak. The bottom of the door has some of the familiar early Camplite blemishes/blisters which can be easily covered with a piece of diamond plate as others have done. Photos at the folowing link: https://photos.app.goo.gl/QzMtZcYY3Xz6P93SA        I will add more photos of inside tomorrow.   This is a great camper--all aluminum inside and out, with Azdel on inside walls. No rot, no worries. Asking $14,000.
9/17/21  added some more photos.  Forgot to mention that the dinette cushions have been replaced with Luxury Firm High Density Foam from Foam N' More. Very comfortable and supportive sleeping. Additional pictures show the braced rear bumper and the stove set up outside, plus some more inside photos showing space and racks and shelving.  The stove can also be set up on the counter inside for indoor cooking.  We mostly cooked outside and are non-smokers.  I can re-install the fold down bunk and mattress if that is preferred.  It will go with the camper either way.

Livin Lite General Discussion / Re: Cold weather camping
« Last post by Lhunter on September 15, 2021, 07:37:31 PM »
We live in Ontario and go south in the winter. A few years ago we were in Texas and it got cold enough on the coast in January that the  lines to the shower froze in our 14 BDS. To prevent this going ahead I wrapped the main lines running down the side with heat tape and insulation. Sold it before the next winter but it allowed me to keep it unwinterized when I got home till the weather warmed up. It wasn’t too bad of a job.

Camplite and Bearcat Travel Trailers / Re: Spare tire mounting on 2018 16TBS

Better yet, kindly ask the tire tech to put the spare back after fixing the flat :). GK

No way would I trust the "tire tech" to put that securing bolt in without stripping the aluminum threads in the frame! :-\

Other members on here who have lost the kitchen window have had little luck finding a replacement. I'm very surprised a dealer was able to order one, even with a long wait. Most folks have found a similar size but different brand window and figured out how to fasten it on. Check etrailer.com and rvupgradestore.com as well as doing a general search for RV windows of that size.

Here is one source that others have had some luck with, but not original equipment.

Congrats on the nice trip Merlin!  My wife and I have driven through the Manistique campground a few times on our way to / from Petoskey MI to go to the Sun RV Resort there.  Seems to be a great place especially if you can get a spot on the water.  I couldn’t help but notice also that their bathroom was very clean!  Will have to stay there sometime.

Sorry - it is the little kitchen window that popped off, screen and shade are in perfect condition.

I have insurance coverage - but RV shop in Florida says it will take "2-3 months" for a replacement window for my little 16ft QBB travel trailer.

They are ordering from Dometic.

I've searched these forums, and suggestions did not work - Duncan, Expedition Upfitter did not have my window.  The measurements are 19 1/2 " W  x  13" T.

Any suggestions with those measurements?  I really need to have this fixed by November if possible.
