Hi guys. We're getting ready to embark on a long summer camping trip and I thought it would be prudent to know how to manually move the Schwintek slide in or out if one (or more) of the motors aren't working. Can any of you tell me what the steps are to do this? I believe the slide control until is above the refrigerator in our CampLite 21BHS. Thank you!

Hi folks. We want to install a small sink in the shower but I can't find any of the past threads about doing that either in this forum or in the archives. And I don't see any on Amazon. Can anyone post a link for the little sink that is part of the shower faucet assembly? It was all built in one piece together (the shower faucet controls and the sink). Thanks so much!

Hi everyone. We are likely getting close to having to replace the trailer batteries in our 2015 CampLite 21BHS. Right now we have two deep cycle 6-volt batteries (lead-acid) connected in series which have given us good service over the years. Looking to stick with two 6-volt batteries again this time but are strongly considering switching over to AGM type batteries instead of the lead-acid. I know that AGM's are quite a bit more expensive but I'm tired of always having to clean the battery post and cable connectors that are constantly becoming corroded, and it looks like the battery cables are going to have to be replaced as well. I've read up on the AGM's and it sounds like they would do a good job for us. I know that some of you have AGM's and would be interested in hearing your thoughts. If we go with AGM's, we wouldn't have to change to a different converter, would we? I read something about not being able to use a regular (standard) type of battery charger on them but wasn't sure if that meant having to have a special type of converter as well (my guess is not having to change out the converter). Hi everyone! Joan & I will be going up (from AZ) to Wyoming this summer and will be passing though the east side of Utah on our way up. Planning on spending some time in the Moab area and seeing Arches and Canyonlands NP's. Was wondering if anyone has any recommendations for a good campground to stay at around there. We like electricity for sure and some times we get full hook-ups if they are available. Are looking around on AllStays as well but would be interested in hearing about the ones you like. Thanks! I know that this has been discussed in the past, but I can't find it. Is there something we need to do with the slide worm gear track to clean and lubricate it? Ours is sounding like it needs something. Thanks!

Hi gang. I know this has been covered before but I can't find it. We're getting a new queen mattress in our 21BHS and I will need to replace the gas struts in the storage area under the bed (the original ones won't be able to hold up the additional weight of the new mattress). What size (in pounds) for the new gas struts do I need in order to get the job done? Thanks!

Hi guys. We just put new tires on our tow vehicle (2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4x4) and I have a question about what tire pressure (cold) I should have in them when towing our 21BHS. The tires are Yokohama Geolander GO55 P265/50 R20 and they are rated for max load of 2,403 lbs (each) which is much better than the original tires and they have a better temperature rating as well (A). The max cold tire pressure is listed at 50 lbs but I think I should run them at 40 lbs cold. I suppose I could put a little more air in them if you feel that's prudent, but I don't want a rock hard ride when towing as even now (at 40) they already have a stiffer ride than the originals. Leaving for the Maine trip tomorrow morning. Your thoughts?

Getting it all ready for our trip to the CampLite Meet-up out in Maine soon. Washed, dried, waxed, and now still have to buff, but the hard work is over! Love the way it shines and the deep lustre that the wax gives it, but I'm glad that I only have to do it once a year! Pretty soon I'll be ready for a cold beer!

Was wondering if anyone can think of possible reasons this is happening. We have two 6-volt golfers (in series) that are 18 months old. They have performed well and there have been no issues until recently. We store our 21BHS in a warehouse when we're not camping and they always put a battery tender on it to keep it fully charged. About 3 weeks ago they called and said that they were having an issue with the batteries. They said that the light on the tender never turned to  green after we the last time we dropped it off (about a month ago). They said that the light would just stay on red (charging) and then eventually it would flash red (indicating a problem). So we picked up the camper and brought it home to load some things into it and while it was home I checked the volts and they were at 12.8 which I believe is fully charged. While it was at our house we had it plugged into shore power so the battery should have continued to get some current. Before we took it back to storage (two days later) I checked the batteries again and they were at 13.2 volts (probably because I had just disconnected the shore power). We took it back to the storage place and now (two weeks later) they are telling me that they are having the same issues...... the light on the tender never turns green and this is a different tender than they used the first time. Then they even disconnected the two batteries and put a separate tender on each one, and that hasn't helped either (both just stay red). Nothing is "on" in the trailer except the CO and propane detectors. Do you think there is something wrong with the batteries or could it be an electrical issue? We need to get this resolved soon because some of the campgrounds on our Maine trip this summer have no shore power (i.e. Acadia NP). Thanks for your thoughts and ideas.

Wow! This is incredible. I didn't know that LED lights can get hot. Do the LED ceiling lights in our trailers get hot like this as well?

Hi everyone! Just thought I'd post a pic of our latest campsite while on this SW trip. First we were in Southern California and now are in AZ. Staying at Lost Dutchman State Park outside of Apache Junction (45 minutes east of Phoenix, and east of Mesa). This is a pic of the Superstition Mountains, which we are camped at the base of. Gorgeous area and lots of things to do around here. The desert is green right now because of the rains over the winter and many of the plants and cactus are starting to flower. This is a famous and historical area, as there are a lot old mining towns and old west connections, and a lot of old western movies have been filmed around here. Lots of good hiking (and biking) trails as well. No rattlesnakes right now as they are still hibernating, but there are lots of rabbits and coyotes! Temperatures in the 70's this time of year and sunny. Great campround with electricity and water hook-ups. It is full most of the time, so you need advanced reservations but there are a few sites that they leave open (unreserved) that are first come first served every day (but those are tough to get). We would highly recommend staying at Lost Dutchman State Park. Will be going down to Tucson next (in 4 days).

Hi everyone. Need some quick help. We are in the middle of a long trip out west and our camper is temporarily in storage (in California) while we flew home to Ohio for a week to say hi to family and take care of the mail and get our tax info to our accountant. Anyways, the camper storage people called yesterday afternoon and said that there were 2 clicking sounds that they could hear coming from our camper. One clicking sound coming from back by the refrigerator and the other one from th other side of the camper. The camper is plugged into shore power in order to keep our fridge and freezer running (which are full of food). I figured that the clicking from the fridge was the fridge trying to light on propane but that shouldn't be happening because it's plugged into shore power and the shore power has been been verifed as still working.  All I can figure is that there might have been some sort of temporary interruption in shore power which caused the fridge to try and light on propane, but it couldn't do that because I had turned the propane tanks off while it is in storage (since it's running on shore power). So the fridge was just continually clicking as it was trying to light and even though the shore power was back on, the fridge was still clicking and trying to light on propane. And all this time the converter/inverter is clicking loudly as welll. So I had them turn the propane tank on and then the fridge lit (and finally stopped clicking) and then it automatically switched back to 110-volt shore power. So the fridge is working now but they haven't been able to figure out the loud clicking noise coming from the converter/inverter. However, they discovered that if they plug something into the outside outlet on the exterior of the camper (like a lamp), then the loud clicking noise on that side of the camper stops. So right now the fridge is working again and the converter/inverter isn't clicking anymore since they have something plugged into the outside outlet. But if they unplug the lamp from the outside outlet, then the converter/inverter starts clicking again. Or maybe it has something to do with the Progressive surge protector system that we had installed? Maybe that's what's clicking, maybe that's cycling on and off (it makes a clicking sound when we plug into shore power and then when it's disconnected from shore power. It's very hard to try and figure this out over the phone from afar. We will be flying back out to CA on Saturday to resume our trip so I won't be able to actually look at it until then. Does anyone have any ideas on what might be happening or thought on how to approach this? Any help will be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Like many of you, my wife and I have moved over here from the LL Owners Forum. We really enjoy this group which has helped us immensely, and are looking forward to continuing on over here.
