Hello, I am researching the Camplite travel trailers as we have just sold our 17 foot Casita, in order to get something a little larger.  I could not find this info with a search of the forum, or the web... On the 21 rbs, What is the measurement between the jacknife sofa and the kitchen cabinet with the jackknife sofa both closed? and open? (when the slide is out, of course...)
I think a used 21bhs is my preferred trailer, but they seem to be pretty hard to come by in my price range, so I am thinking about the practicality of a rbs with our family of five.  We did it with the 17 foot Casita :P :)

I have a late 2015 build,  2016 model, CL21RBS. It has 39.9" from couch to kitchen cabinet when closed and 30.5" when open.  My build has a 4.5" shelf/outside storage behind the couch.  We love the CL21RBS with just the 2 of us, but I'd personally go with the bunkhouse with a family of 5.

Thanks for the response!  I will continue to be on the lookout for a 21BHS...

You don't need to find one with a couch, the dinette is useless so I removed it and installed a couch.

The dinette comes out in 3 pieces, some of the screws are hidden behind the trim panels. Had to cut about 8 inches off the slide floor then I added aluminum C channel as trim pieces.

The couch is from amazon and fits right in the space. Now there is more floor space and you can walk to the back of the camper with the slide in.

Great couch. Which one did you get on Amazon? Link? I'm looking for a comfortable replacement to the OEM couch and most don't fit.

Link below. It is the Divano Roma Furniture Mid-Century Modern Tufted Linen Fabric Sofa. I got the light gray because even with lots of vacuuming dog hair isn't too visible and the light color matches the walls very well.

The couch comes in 4 main pieces with the pillows stashed in the seat bottom.

The seat bottom is screwed to the slide floor with L brackets (one on each side and one in front underneath) and the arms and back rest just slide into place on brackets, actually a clever design that makes assembly super easy.

If you buy one of these couches can I have the front legs??? I have a bookcase I made and the angled couch legs are exactly what I need to finish it but the back legs are straight and the seller doesn't sell individual parts   >:(

Absolutely! I see from the couch specs the slide on your 21 is longer than the slide on my 16, so that specific couch won't work. Perhaps a shorter version is available.......the search continues.

Apollo, good to see that option.  Why do you consider the dinette useless?

I found the dinette cramped, uncomfortable, and despite its size can only really fit about 3 people due to the table size and the space available for everyone's feet. In addition the table is small and wobbly and I didn't want to spend $200 or more on a quality table and mount.

The dinette also reduced floor space and when the slide is closed it blocked access to back of the camper.

I get why it is like this, the slide is over the wheels so it has to have a raised floor, the slide is shallow so they couldn't make it a booth and the camper is only 7" wide so they couldn't extend into the living space.

Since we are camping we usually eat outside so found a dinette superfluous. If the weather is bad and we need to eat inside a portable table placed in front of the couch makes a great dining area, and (as mentioned) the couch is a better use of interior space. It is nice to have place to read a book or have a conversation in comfort and not have to always lay on the bed.

I find the couch a more versatile option than being trapped with a single purpose dinette. But that is just me and how I use the camper.

Check IKEA, there were a few options there as well.
