How are your summer plans going? I have never been to Niagara Falls, so that is on our list. We love wine, so we will spend 9 days in the New York Finger Lakes Region. Then it's on to Maine for 2 RV rallies, one of which is course, our own LL rally. Then we workout way south for a rally in Branson MO.

Anybody familiar with the Finger Lakes Region? Any places there or in Maine that we should not miss?

Finger lakes is all about the wine, we've been there many times, Letchworth State Park is close by and a little state park called Stoney Brook. The brook was damed up to form swimming pools, its a cool place to go for a swim.

I lived in Maine for about 5 years,,,, Bar Harbor, Acadia, Baxter State Park, Moosehead Lake, if you have time the Allagash river, (white water rafting). I never been to LL Bean, but if your passing Portland supposedly its worth the stop.

We're planning a trip to Crested Butte, CO in August to camp and mountain bike. It will be our longest haul yet at about 2500 miles round trip and I'm a little worried about it. We're used to hauling butt across the great plains to Colorado and not the leisurely driving that pulling the camper will force us to do. Plus the elevation. We will camp two nights at a park in Kansas with a great mountain bike trail on the way out and somewhere to be determined on the way back. The best part about it is my dad and stepmom will be meeting up with us. They have a big 5th wheel that they pull all over the country but this will be the first time that we have coordinated a trip since we got a camper. Since we're still working full time we will supplement the 2 week vacation with several long weekends near and far. I hope at least once a month.

If anyone has a favorite place to camp that is convenient to but not on I80 in Nebraska, let me know. Thanks!

The weekend after we get back from Colorado we're planning a long weekend in Kentucky to hopefully catch the solar eclipse in its totality. Come to think of it, maybe I should just retire so I don't have to come home to work between week/ends of camping!
