First camping trip is scheduled in late April. Now as a retiree I camp during the week and come home for the weekend.

Me too. But even in the middle of the week, nice waterfront sites in the state parks nearby are hard to come by short term. We can always find some kind of site in a state campground but i much prefer the ones with a view. I have started reserving nice sites about 2 months out and if the weather is bad when I get close, just reschedule or cancel.

I am hoping that the RV boom will slack off soon. I am already seeing new prices drop a bit. Encouraging!!!

Every RV dealership I drive by has a lot of inventory.  Not that I want to buy a RV during COVID induced labor shortage when they were just slapping them together as fast as they could.  I made reservations at Assateague Island yesterday for post Labor Day week and already sites were slim to find.  I am hoping this all slacks off soon too.

Tank was installed last week.  Still need to install a mud flap "guard" in front of the tank to deflect rocks and road debris from striking the tank again.  Pushed next weeks camping trip to the following week. Snow in the forecast at the camp ground next week with lows in the upper twenties and highs in the upper forties and lower fifties.  Brr the temperatures warm up the following week.
