Hi, Im very interested in purchasing your trailer for my family.

I had a few question about this particular model though.
Aluminum and Composite: We have seen that some of the newer models that the frame and body are completely made of aluminum and composite (no plywood).  Is that true for this trailer?
Insulation: Do you have any information about howe well insulated this trailer is (R-value...)?
Heater - What heat source is there for the trailer?
Solar - Is this set up to accept solar?  What batterys) is included?
Let's talk more about it...

This trailer was sold some time ago if I'm not mistaken.

Even though this particular trailer may have been sold, I will try to answer your questions based on my general knowledge of this model to help you with any further search:

All LLs have an aluminum frame and framing for the roof and walls. Later models used a rubber membrane type roof instead of an aluminum roof on earlier models. I understand that some of the very latest were made with composite outside walls instead of the much more common aluminum throughout most of the model's life. The inside paneling was Azdel, a composite.

About 2-3 inches of foam block was used in the walls giving an R value of about 9.

My 16TBS has a propane fired furnace with a single outlet aft which is what I would expect this one to have.

AFAIK no LLs were prewired for solar. You could do it yourself though.

Batteries were installed by the dealer. Mine has a single Group 24 mounted on the A frame.

I wish people would "clean up after themselves" so to speak and update their post when someone sells their LL. >:(

I think the later models came with a Zamp connection into the battery lines, but there was never an option for factory mounted panels to my knowledge.

The later floors changed from tongue and groove aluminum planks to a plywood/composite sandwich. Which addressed the complaints that the aluminum floor was cold (it was) but creating a rot vulnerability, as every leak ends up at the floor whether it starts at the roof, a window, road spray, or a plumbing leak.

I did not know the floors changed from AL to wood.  Thought they were aluminum until the end.  What year di they change?  2017 or 2018?

Thanks,
Jonathan

No wood was added to the floor when it changed from all aluminum. This quote below is from an internal LL sales memo in 2017 when the changed occurred.

"Good morning Team.

The following are the laminated floor information.

·         Absolutely NO WOOD in the super structure, including the floor system

·         5 layers-We use 5 layers to construct the floor.  Lamilux fiberglass top, 1-layer of Azdel, polystyrene(High-density block foam insulation), lastly another layer of Azdel and Darco protective wrap

·         Most laminated floor systems use wood product called luan, LL DOES NOT use wood.  We have thoroughly tested(weight per sq inch) this new and improved floor with the fiberglass top layer. it has outperformed the luan constructed laminated floor system used by many manufacturers in the RV industry.

·         Aluminum framed floor. R-value is 10 VS previous way was R-0

·         Heat/Cold transfer is less do to the insulated floor over the aluminum floor

·         High-density Block foam adds noise reduction

·         More comfortable to stand on, Smooth fiberglass top, no ridges like the aluminum floor system

·         This new advanced floor is lighter weight than the old floor system. "

2017 16TBS does indeed have a factory installed connection for a ZAMP Portable Solar Charging System
