wall cabinet attachment

HI all,

Just bought a used 2014 14db.
I have one side of the cabinet above the jacknife sofa where the cabinet is pulling away slightly from the wall.  I believe there is aluminum framing somewhere near there but can't figure out a great way to locate it. Anybody run into this and have any suggestions?

Finnski, I have the same trailer and that cabinet fell off. See my post 'Why the cabinet fell' under the link below. I also referenced a promotional LL youtube video that showcased a 16DB frame. It gives a good idea where there is framing (and where there is not!). Perhaps the best thing I did for cabinet security was to install a wood backing along the roof wall corner. Ours also just fell off.  This makes three 2014 14DBs with this issue. 

Any advice or help would be appreciated.

I rehung the cabinet above the couch.  Hopefully, I didn't over do it, but it should stay in place for a long time.

The process was relatively straight forward, but I may have made it more complicated than it needed to be.  The cabinet can easily be rehung with the self-tapping screws.   I reinforced it by putting additional screws at trusses and by bolting the cabinet to the frame of the bathroom wall and to the wall studs using threaded holes that I made with a drill and tap.

To reduce the visual impact of the scratches in the azdel, I used a set of wood scratch repair magic markers.  This worked surprisingly well.

You'll probably be able to use the cabinet for chin-ups now!

My LSW told me to check the other cabinets, particularly the one over the bed. At least in my rig, the remaining cabinets appear to be sufficiently anchored. GK

My wife also had the same request.  Our other cabinets appear securely attached.

Having one fall down was not good, but it was an interesting learning experience.  The empty channel for wiring running through the top back of the cabinet could be useful one day.

Geez - 3 cabinets fell off different 2014 units.  Don't let the 'LL was perfect before 2016' crowd hear this.

Pre-2016 LL have their problems, but falling wood cabinets would have been worse.

Thank you very much that frame video may help. Haven't got back to the trailer lately to fix this
