I purchased inexpensive tire covers two years ago to cover my new at the time Maxxis tires. Fast forward two years and the covers are falling apart. They are light gray in color and are for tandem wheels/tires. They are cracked and faded badly so I decided to purchase new ones. I researched this topic on this forum but could not find anything. So I decided to buy SnapCover individual wheel covers. Best price by far through JC Whitney but takes a week or so to get here. I am retired so I can wait for a $30.00 savings.
The real point of this post is a YouTube post on wheel covers especially the color. I did not want white as they were only available in black or white, but the YouTube post showed that black covers actually cooked the tires in high heat situations. So i purchased white. Supposedly they are a snap to put on (I only use them in storage between trips) but will report how well they work when I get them.
We are two months away from the three year anniversary on our 2015 21BHS and virtually trouble free.
