Relocated the fresh water drain

There have been past posts on the other forum regarding the location of the fresh water drain valve. For those of us who drain their tank, you have to literally crawl under the trailer, and then proceed to get wet from the splashing. That is, if the ground wasn't wet to begin with. LL could have easily located the drain to the side of the trailer, where it belongs. I relocated it today, and it was a very easy task. The drain simply unscrews, add a male nipple and a female coupler to a 42" piece of PEX and strap it to the slinky storage holder. Pictures attached.

What size male nipple did you buy and do you need special tools to work with PEX?

It was a 1/2" size nipple. I had removed the valve and took it to Lowes, just to be sure.
You would need special tools for the pex. On second thought, I would use the clear reinforced tube they sell at Lowes and some good hose clamps. I'll probably retro fit mine that way, also.

Just finished redoing the installation using reinforced tubing and clamps. Very easy to do. So much better being able to get at the valve at the side of the trailer and not crawling underneath. You can get water for the pooches easily now, too.
