I have a Quicksilver 8.0, 2013, in excellent condition.  Because I often travel by myself, I've been thinking of selling or trading this and picking up a gently used 6.0.  The 8.0 is difficult for me to set up by myself.  Looking at the video of the 6.0 setup, it's designed for a one person setup.  I live in Washington, and willing to do some travel to get this in the hands of a new potential owner.  If there is any interest, either a direct sale or a trade option, post this and we can discuss and work out the details.

I really like my 6.0 for me and my dog. Good luck selling your 8.0.

Thanks for the feedback on your 6.0.  I do like the 8.0, but it's too much to set up by myself; hence, the 6.0.  I'm definitely open to a trade or a sale/purchase, as I think this is the best route for me.

Best wishes on selling your 8.0.

I usually solo camp as well and I went in the opposite direction-- had a 6.0 and went to an 8.0.  I sold my 6.0 on Craigslist (for a few hundred more than what I paid for in back in 2012) and found my 8.0 also on Craigslist.  So far the solo set up on the 8.0 has not been a problem, but it would be a smoother operation with an extra set of hands.

Could you mention how it is that you get the two tent sides up and in place going solo?  I find that moving the first one up is fine until the other one, which is partially overlapping the first, is too much weight for me.  I do this from one side, as I don't see a way of doing this from inside the trailer.  I'm in very good shape, but I'm also older.  If there is a way to do this, I'd definitely give it a try. Thanks for your comments in advance.

After I flip over and secure the bunks, I unfold the tent and loosen up the bimini poles a bit since they usually are compressed down when folded.  To unfold the tent, I grab one end from the side of the camper and walk it back to the end "fluffing it up" so to speak as I go and pull it back with both hands.  I quickly fasten one snap on a corner and then another snap on the other corner.  Then I raise up the other half of the tent and fasten a snap to hold it in place.

Thank you for the feedback.  I'll give that a try.  I think that the fluffing up you mentioned may be the key.  I appreciate your feedback.

How is the new setup going? We currently have a 6.0 in excellent condition but have a new addition to our family and needing some more room.

Welcome to the forum! Maybe work a trade with someone here and get some more room for the new one!
