Just wanted to say hi glad to be here. Yes I am another LL forum refuge. I guess LL or Thor just did not want the truth about their campers being posted. Who knows ?

We do a lot of camping in the Smokey mountains . We just bought our LL 16TBS this past summer and have enjoyed it greatly so far. I hope to pick up where I left off in the LL forum , learning a lot of stuff about the camper and campers in general.

I think there are a lot of folks camping with Aluminum campers in the Smokies and maybe there should be some kind of gathering back in them thar hills some time.   :)

Just a thought.

Jim,

When it's 90s in the lower elevations, we head to Mount Pisgah to cool down on the Blue Ridge Parkway during July and August. Agree, plenty of folks to meet while camping in the area.

We camped at Lake Wateree State Park SC last week. Camp in SC in the winter and NC mountains in the summer. Also like to head out west in the fall.

What's the weather like at Mount Pisgah in July?  I'm in Kentucky and always looking for a cool spot in July.

High temps in the 70s during July and August at 5,000' elevation when it's 90 in the lower elevations. We like hiking, driving the TV & riding a motorcycle on the parkway, too. There's a restaurant and country store there, too.

They don't have water and electricity at each campsite. They have nice showers and AC is not needed.
