black tank flush clogged

Does anyone know where the black tank flush "check valve" is located on a 2018 21bhs? I'm not getting any water to flow through mine. I removed part of the enclosed underbelly to look up there and saw this white hose connected to the side of the tank, that runs up through the floor under the shower pan. I really hope its not located up there!

I don't know where it is on yours or other Camplites, but Forest River is notorious for sticking them up in the wall in the bathroom in their builds.

My personal opinion-  they are worthless anyway.
I do not understand the obsession with a clean black tank, I'm not ever planning to eat anything out of there.
I've been RVing for 40 years and have NEVER flushed a black tank.  Never had any issues either.

I dumped my black tank on the 21RBS for the first time last week and, this being the first RV I've had with a flush, I thought, well that's pretty cool.   I agree I never had an issue with black tanks without a flush, but I liked being able to clean it out a tad better with minimal effort - and stuff did come out.

I don't know where the check valve is on a 21BHS either. However, the black tank flush on my 16TBS did not work right from the start. I tracked the problem to a severe kink in that white hose. Once I installed a 90 degree fitting in the hose (fortunately in a place easy to get to under the camper), the system worked fine. In yours, a kink may be under the shower pan, or they may have installed a check valve backwards. Are you sure you're not getting any flow? The sprayer in the tank creates some back-pressure in the hose and it doesn't have the full flow of the hose anyway. This would be warranty covered if you bought it new.

Unlike ADR, I use the black tank flush at every dump station and get lots more out of the tank. I suppose it's not essential, but it takes only a couple of minutes, so no big deal.

Oh I'm sure there's no flow, I hooked up 80 psi to it and nothing. The dealers 6 hours away so I'm fixing this myself. I just disconnected the white hose at the tank.. I'm about to see if water flows from it now...

We added a tank flush kit to our 14DBS.
And we use it every time we dump the tank.
I like things clean and we do not experience any odors.

So, no water came out of the bottom hose. Moved the hose around from both ends to try and free up any kinks and not a drop came through. I'm pretty sure they installed the check valve backwards. Gonna try pushing some air through it in the opposite direction.

so I pushed some air in the opposite direction and water then air came shooting out of the flush port. So it's confirmed, they installed the check valve backwards. I removed the kick panel under the shower tub and could see the flush tubing running up the wall to the shower controls and back down. So I'm guessing the check valve is up in that wall somewhere. Going to have to remove the shower control panel now.. smh

Found the check valve behind the shower controls. Factory did indeed install it backwards. Swapped it and now everything is working like it should.

After reading this I just went out to test mine.  I got lucky and it is installed correctly.  Good to know where the valve is anyway on a LL 21 BHS.
