Unfortunately she's going to have to stay in the driveway until this gets resolved with Livin' Lite, so looks like we're breaking out the tents for our vacation in two weeks.

I would think that you could at least enjoy the camper in the meantime... I doubt that any 'normal' use would have a bearing on any decision about remediation LL or the dealer would make in regard to your complaint. Once titled it cannot be considered 'new' in any case, whether its been sitting in your driveway or towed to a campground.. just my opinion, ymmv.

I'm actually planning on using it now.  I wanted to make sure using it would not effect my claim, so I emailed Livin' Lite a list of questions and concerns about the use of the camper and my claim, so now that I have them on record, I don't have any concerns using it.

I'm cross-posting the information below as I believe it to be relevant to the discussion....

Had a chance to speak with a representative at Livinlite about the flooring concerns being expressed here.
With his permission, I'm posting below an internal memo he forwarded to me.

Good morning Team.
The following are the laminated floor information.
·         Absolutely NO WOOD in the super structure, including the floor system
·         5 layers-We use 5 layers to construct the floor.  Lamilux fiberglass top, 1-layer of Azdel, polystyrene(High-density block foam insulation), lastly another layer of Azdel and Darco protective wrap
·         Most laminated floor systems use wood product called luan, LL DOES NOT use wood.  We have thoroughly tested(weight per sq inch) this new and improved floor with the fiberglass top layer. it has outperformed the luan constructed laminated floor system used by many manufacturers in the RV industry.
·         Aluminum framed floor. R-value is 10 VS previous way was R-0
·         Heat/Cold transfer is less do to the insulated floor over the aluminum floor
·         High-density Block foam adds noise reduction
·         More comfortable to stand on, Smooth fiberglass top, no ridges like the aluminum floor system
·         This new advanced floor is lighter weight than the old floor system.

I have to admit that having the opportunity to discuss the changes in detail went a long way to help alleviate my concerns.

interesting. Thanks for the info and sleuthing!

I'm in the process of bringing back a 2012 8.1 that got very wet inside and stayed that way for a while. After towing it 7.5 hours to get it home, it was still dropping water.
The tent, tonneau, dinette cushions and mattresses were all mildewed and beyond saving.
The camper is completely repairable and will be as good as new when we get done with it. The all aluminum construction definitely works and is worth having!

Not much news so far.  I reached out to them on July 31, but was told "the bosses are reviewing it", so once I sent a certified letter I finally got a call back from someone who was in a position to do anything.  They are trying to get it resolved, but have had some major stumbles trying to make it right.  Communication is not proactive and I have to reach out once or twice a week to get a status.  I'm basically treading water at this point and starting to look at other options.
