Took delivery of a new CL 16DBS last week at Carolina Coach in Claremont, NC.

We had ordered a sofa with the  trailer, but it came in with a dinette.  LL was going to ship the dealer the proper sofa to swap out, but after living with the trailer w/ dinette for 24 hours, we concluded we'd rather have the dinette.  Removing the table leaves plenty of space for two to relax, and the increased storage under the seating will be very useful---in a trailer which has little storage anyway.

So with the dinette, I believe we got every option available on the trailer.  Had an Equalizer E4 hitch installed, and have pulled it about 50 miles.  Very pleased with the way it handles with my Durango.  I do hear a significant sucking sound from the area of my gas tank when towing, but I was expecting that.  Though it's been rebuilt recently, 18 year old technology in a Chrysler 5.9L, just is what it is.

Other than an incorrect TV arm (they are sending the correct one), I have found no issues with the trailer so far.  Everything has been function-tested, except for pressurizing the plumbing.   I'm waiting for another potable water hose to arrive, and will test that.   Already have a pressure regulator.

It's already set through a hard rain, and even been pulled through it, and no sign of leaks so far.

Have the "off-road" package.  They mounted Chinese 'mud-grip' tires, in 235 x 75 x 15. They're rated L/T.  Not sure what good off-road tires are going to do on a trailer, but I guess they look snazzy.  I'm planning on swapping them out for Goodyear Endurance S/Ts in a month or two.

Happy with the aluminum cabinet package, including the secure latches.  The kitchen cabinet base also includes a bank of 3 drawers, with secure closure.

I'll post some pics in a few days.   And a review of of first test-run (of 3-4 days), planned for next week--if the Hurricane doesn't create weather problems in the NC Appalachian area.

If anyone's interested in this model, note that there are significant changes from the previous couple of years--at least the ones I looked at.   Up-to-date info is one area they seem to be struggling with.

Very nice rig... Congrats! I was looking for the same model when I dumb lucked into my used 21.

Good news on the initial check-out. Time to go camping! If you do go with the Endurance tires, report back on how they do.

+1 on the Goodyear endurance. got a quote from Sam's club for $449 out the door for 4 mounted and balanced... That includes the $80 rebate. That seemed pretty reasonable. It's less than my insurance deductible and it gets the Chinese blow pops off of there lol!!! Rebate is good through dec 31.

When you replace you original tires, make sure you keep them.  I put them for sale online and got 70 or 80$ for the four.

I have a cargo trailer I'm selling that needs tires, so I'll put them on it.

Quick question with your dinette slide in can you get past it to get to the refrigerator. Just curious. Mr Smith

Just measured.  It's 14" from base of dinette to base cabinet doors.   Refrigerator door will open enough to get your arm in.   Bathroom door will open, but not quite all the way.   Not ideal, but will work for a lunch break.

For anything more than a few minutes, I'd slide it out, assuming there was room.
