Spring Fit Out

Spring fit out went well (assuming a very low standard of "well"). The water system had no waterfall-sized leaks, the propane equipment explosions were containable, and the electrical system didn't cause too large a fire when plugged in. I had to do battle with a couple of territorial wasps that didn't like me messing with their trailer, but by using a bit less than a can of wasp spray on each, I was able to regain my ground. The wheel bearings took 6 shots of grease each before quitting drinking for the year. The tires are in excellent shape. They are likely no longer round from sitting for several months, but they will be smoking hot tomorrow when I take the rig out to set up the brakes with the newly installed brake controller in the tow vehicle. That'll smooth them out.

We are loading the trailer the stuff we camp with and don't store in the camper over the winter, but finding it all mixed in the piles of other stuff in the basement and garage will take courage, luck, and patience. My wife went in the basement to slay that dragon today and came back burnt to a crisp.

Soon we'll be on our way for the 2017 shakedown trip and all the effort will be worth it, in spades. State parks on Lake Huron are epic beautiful this time of year.

Now to head to the forum's camping cooking thread to get some new ideas for meals............
