Just returned home today after our summer camping trip from North Carolina to Glacier NP and back, this year. We visited 12 states and Canada! Took many photos and made Campground reviews for of some of the places we stayed. Camped at State Parks, Army Corps of Engineers Campgrounds and Glacier KOA. Experienced forest fire smoke at Glacier, but it cleared out during our last two days due to rain. Also experienced up to 60MPH winds while @ Glacier, too! Met Jack Hanna at Glacier KOA when he was checking our CampLite 11.

Merlin,

We enjoyed meeting you and your wife.

Was going to use my three point airplane tie downs to help secure the mighty 11 during heavy winds, but hit rock a few inches under the ground, so that idea did not work  :P. Tightened up the stabilizers and the CampLite did fine  :)!

Rideandfly - you bring joy to my wandering heart! The pics share what clearly looks to be a wonderful trip. Thanks for sharing and letting us travel vicariously.

I was surprised (and happy) to see the Canadian flags. I'm gobsmacked by Glacier NP.

I also wondered what's that tubular thingie you have on a little tripod? Are you transmitting microwaves?

PEIslander, I visited their campsite on that trip and got too close to the thingie on the tripod. I haven't felt the same since, so whatever Bill says it is, don't believe him.  ;D

You Guys are on to me!!! 8)

It's an old aluminum camera tripod with a HDB2X HD digital air antenna mounted. Made by Solid Signal,
http://www.xtremesignal.com/hdb2x.html, purchased off of Amazon! It works fine and easy set up/knock down
while camping. Our 2010 CampLite 11 did not have TV when purchased, so installed TV & antenna
cable later. Most of the time we can get a few digitals channels and have gotten over 40 at one campground.

Bet I could pick up at least one channel at this elevation:
