I tried drilling drainage holes at the bottom of the bubbling compartment door that I referred to in my comments above.  Didn't work.  Once that bubbling occurs your options are limited, from my experience.

Honestly IMO you wont be happy with any fix other than replacing the door.  I had this issue on a compartment door and had it professionally repaired with bondo and repainted.  That "fix" lasted 2 months and the bubbling reappeared.  Once the water gets inside of the door. coupled with the garbage Luan, it is game over.   Why in the world Challenger thought Luan was a good material to use in a door is a mystery to me.  Just sharing the reality with you so you are fully aware of the risk of throwing time and money at any kind of repair rather than replacement....

Livin Lite General Discussion / 21BHS Shower Pan
July 02, 2025, 10:09:54 PM
UPDATE:  Recpro.com did not have my shower pan size available as they originally told me.  (Size:  26"W X 32"L, with right side drain).  So, I called the RV dealer who the original owner bought mine from.  They scoured their suppliers and every resource they could find. The closest size available: 24"W X 32"L.  So... I need to figure out a way to rig that to make it fit mine, including the drain will be off-center so will need some sort of elbow for that.  I guess I will try to find a plumber who can take a look at it.  Any advice would be great!

UPDATE 2:  After further thought, it will be problematic to rig-install the new shower pan that is 2 inches too narrow.  I have concluded that the only rig-job that makes sense for now is to try to patch the cracks in the existing shower base.  I fully anticipate that will not last long because of the flex that occurs when standing on it, which will reopen the cracks.  Dang....

Here is a pic from my 2016 16TBS that I just removed.  Looks like Ameri-Kart was the supplier of shower pans to Livin Lite.  However their website is "under construction" so am not sure if still in business.  So, I am ordering my replacement from RecPro.com.  Maybe that will help you out.

A mobile RV tech reattached the seal during our stay in Petoskey MI last week.

Quote from: gibby on May 07, 2025, 03:51:57 PMWell, after 10 years we are parting with our 21RBS.

We are moving up to a Intech Aucta Magnolia. This is also from the mind of Scott Tuttle, and when I saw it in person, I was blown away.

Now, if anyone is looking for a 2014 21RBS, keep an eye on Allan Dale RV as they will soon have one on the used list for sale.
We have had our 16TBS for 9 yrs now.  Hoping to retire in a few yrs and the Aucta lineup is at the top of our list - possibly the Sycamore so will need to upgrade our tow vehicle at that time.  Am very interested to see how you like the Magnolia.  Had no idea Scott Tuttle was involved with Intech.

Livin Lite General Discussion / Shower Pan Cracked
June 15, 2025, 06:05:11 PM
The shower pan in our 2016 CL TBS16 is loose and cracked so water gets in when it rains when we are towing.  I am going to do a temp fix by putting Gorilla tape over the cracked section for our upcoming trip but will need to replace after, preferably with a thicker pvc.  Seems odd that it sinks when I push down like I did when taking the attached pics, since that should be aluminum framing underneath.  Thanks!

Update- since I can't replace the acrylic pan with spending $1,500 on a heavy custom-fab hard surface (Corian-like) pan, I am in the process of repairing mine with an acrylic repair kit from Amazon.  Stay tuned.  Also, the plastic under the pan is not cracked but does not provide sufficient support.  Thus, the flexing will continue unless I replace that plastic with a plywood (urgh!!) or other material.  Any thoughts Merlin or others?

The inside rubber wiper seal on our slide-out came off, as I opened the slide-out for the first time this season.  See attached pic.  Any suggestions on what to do about this?  We leave on Wednesday for our first outing so am a bit concerned about this.  Outside rubber seals are all in place so that is good.  Thanks!

Livin Lite General Discussion / Bathroom Cabinet
February 08, 2025, 03:12:58 PM
I would like to install a cabinet above the toilet in my 16TBS.  Has anyone done that and if so how did you attach it to the wall?

Has anyone replaced the shade for the kitchen window?  Would like to know of where to find one.  Thanks

Quote from: RV Squirrel on August 17, 2024, 06:11:28 PMThank you both for the comments.  I've been trying to find extra space in a number of places.  I've managed to make a closet in the bathroom, cubbyholes above the dinette window, shelves in the wardrobe, drawers under the sink and over the frig.  I've also made an extension to the dinette table that made the table less wobbly.  We got the camper in 2014, but I think that I've spent more time in it doing projects than actually camping.  My wife calls it my "happy place".
RV Squirrel - would you mind sharing pics of some of the projects you did?  Would love to see!

Livin Lite General Discussion / Lug Nuts - Replacement
August 18, 2024, 02:10:12 AM
I recently had my wheel bearings repacked.  When I checked the torque on the lug nuts thereafter I noticed one lug nut was rounded off.  I am buying an extractor socket to remove that lug nut.  Has anyone replaced their lug nuts?  Not sure how to determine what thread pitch mine are.  I believe the size is 1/2" (which requires a 3/4" socket) but what thread pitch are they?  Any info on that would be very helpful.  Thanks!

Trailer Maintenance / Re: Suburban Series Switch
August 13, 2024, 06:27:54 PM
I found the switch on Amazon for about $10.  Broken switch was easy to remove.  However, I had to remove a couple items in that tight compartment to install the replacement.  And scraped my hands up in the process as well.  Glad it is done!!  On to next item on list.
