My wife and I are in the market for a larger trailer, and was surprised at the trade in value that we were offered.

14DBS 2018 - $27,000 CAD. Before the pandemic started, we were ready to trade and had a quote of $`19,000 CAD, so our trailer went up 8,000 in 2 years.

I looked at our receipt from when we bought the trailer new and I have only lost $2,000 in value.

On my 2018 14 DBS the black, grey and fresh water tanks and battery indicator was in the washroom.

We have been out 4 times this summer, with our last trip next weekend.
Rock Point Provincial Park - Dunnville Ontario
Wheatley Provincial Park - Leamington Ontario
Brighton KOA - Brighton Ontario
Elora - In Laws
and finally back to Rock Point!

Not what we were planning to do this summer, but not bad considering the lockdown we have been under.

2020 can't end quick enough.

Cool. Must be a feature added in '18. Under the steps would be a nice spot to have a light.

It is a nice spot for a light....
The mystery is why did they put the switch in the front pass through compartment?
Seems like inside near the door would make more sense.  Sort of like - oh I don't know-  just about every home's porch light ;D

It took us by surprise too!  It was forgotten in the 1,000's of things you tried to remember when we bought the trailer.  I bumped into it when I was getting something out of the storage compartment.

On my 2018 14DBS there is a light switch in the baggage compartment.  On mine it is on the right side.

Just bought a Hyundai HY3200 Inverter Generator at the Toronto Spring RV Show this weekend.  Anyone have any experience with a Hyundai generator product?

Paid $999 for it, on a power sale promotion.  I will let everyone know our thoughts when we use it this spring!

Hello All,

My wife and I are planning a 6 month cross Canada camping trip.  Our only plan is to be in the Yukon for June 21 for Aboriginal Day.  We will be posting pictures and trip reports.

Any suggestions on where we should go?  Camp sites to avoid?  Anyone want to meet along the way?

Regards,

Paul and Susan

My Camplite Platinum 14DBS has come off the production line and is on its way to Ottawa Ontario.  I pick it up in a week!  We are going to do a shakedown camp in Ottawa for a few days.

Will post some pictures and thoughts on the new trailer when we get home.

Hello Forum,

I am getting excited now.  Got a call from my dealer and my 14DBS will be picked up for delivery on April 20!  My wife and I are planning a week long shake down trip when we pick it up May 1!

Going to go to a local campsite for the first night then drive it down to the 1000 Islands KOA for the remainder of the week.  Will post pictures and a report when we get back.

Cheers!

I just ordered mine with the couch.  Our reasons were similar to others.  We expect to eat outside mostly, and the folding table that is included can be used for meal prep and if we need to because of bad/cold weather still eat in the trailer.

Hello All,

Waiting for my 2018 Camplite 14DBS.  Just my luck that I am buying at the end of the production run, but looking forward to the up coming camping season.  Going to do a Cross Canada tour in 2019.
