I believe you are referring to the windows. That's tempered glass with a dark tint on it. When the roof is raised, it forms a large, end to end crescent window. It's what rally sells the Alto for most people. When your are inside, you feel like you're sitting outside. And yes, the craftsmanship is highly unheard of for RVs. It's not just good by RV standards, it's solid by any standard. Another niece aspect is there is no wood or materials that can rot. The entire structure is aluminum sheets, sandwich a plastic honeycomb materials. The frame is all welded metal. Yet, it's only around 1700 lbs. that includes all the glass too.
