Camping cooking / Re: I love camp cooking

We switched to a stainless steel set of plates, cups, and flatware. The plates are easy to rinse off and with only 3 people using them clean up doesnt take much time at all. Plus they dont rust or go bad so I never worry about how long they have been in storage.

We found a Lifetime 4' table with adjustable height is a direct fit to the original table, though just a hair thicker. Since we never plan to use it as a bed this isnt a problem for us. Instead the new table is much better because we can set it to a more reasonable height compared to the benches. Its also more stable overall with its heavier duty legs. This is basically the one we have but we purchased ours at Costco I think: http://amzn.to/2jf339e

I've seen someone post about replacing the benches with the Plano sportsman trunks. I havent tried it, but if I recall they mentioned that three set side by side are nearly a direct replacement for the bench. The 56qt model is the one used http://amzn.to/2iktXwY
I use these for a ton of storage in the camper. They fit nicely in the walkway during transport. They stack very well when at camp, and the tops are lockable. I use them for everything from food storage to gear organization. I figure it keeps the little critters away from our food and makes it far easier to put away when we need to keep things out of reach for larger critters.

I've thought about removing the table and benches all together but then I remind myself of the times we have been stuck inside due to weather. Having the table and seats have been a great help. Maybe its worth crossing the line and building a wooden bench/storage/table solution. I doubt it would be all that difficult to come up with a bench that fits the lifetime table while still converting to a bed if needed. Plus they you could add a taller removable back rest. Just a thought...

Camping cooking / Re: titanium cooking stuff

I keep a set of cast iron in the house and psck the pieces I need based on what we are cooking. I haven't found anything better than a nice thick cast iron griddle over the camp stove for bacon and pancakes in the morning. I also leave a Magma set in the camper. It's amazing and worth every penny but it certainly is a pretty penny.

In all reality the LL that most of us knew died when Scott sold in the first place. In all honesty I'm beyond frustrated with the new managment and their professional practices but life is too short to dwell on such things. I have always told people that my pop up is great and that story will not change but like Pin my story will also include the opinion that these aren't made the same anymore. Luckily the QS line hasn't seen any real changes.

I have no interest in even keeping tabs on their new site. Again life is too short and ill feelings only drag me down. It's not like it's going to impact LL so why worry about it. I will say this, I planned to upgrade to a full TT one day and now I can promise it will not be a LL. Between the changes to the product and business practices I make the choice not to support them.

I know this is old but having used titanium before I thought I'd give some opinions. Titanium is great for backpacking since it is super light and durable. It is also extremely  conductive so it does a great job at basic tasks like boiling water. However this is double bittersweet because that means it will cool off whatever you have in it very quickly as well.
It is very expensive per piece and is often only sold in small sizes as its geared towards backpacking. If you are camping in a trailer I'd look at stainless steel. It's much more cost effective and cooks much more like your home cookware. All in all titanium won't hurt anything but unless you have a need for it, I'd look into other options.
