Trailers for Sale / Re: 2015 21BHS For Sale
November 18, 2019, 06:21:27 PM
Well we sold it, took about a month and had a lot of interest. Was not sure about selling this time of year but actually had a buyer that bought it without seeing it, so I guess my pics were pretty good. Actually the buyer had been looking for a long time and saw the value of an all aluminum trailer. He  was a Happy Camper when he drove off with our 21BHS. It was a great camper for us and I am sure it will be for this young man and his family.

Trailers for Sale / 2015 21BHS For Sale
October 31, 2019, 10:44:11 AM
It is with some reluctance that Jan and I have decided to sell our 2015 21BHS purchased new April '15. We have seven grands that enjoy camping and simply need a little more room. The price is $23,900 and one can see all the details on RVTrader.com, simply hit search for Livin Lite 21BHS and all the pictures and details of the RV will pop up. This unit is pre Thor and can guarantee someone will be getting a almost like new trailer with a lot of modifications! I have sure learned a lot from this forum over the years and again really enjoyed the LL CL 21BHS.

Noticed this post and had to comment. Our 2015 21BHS was wounded by a self inflicted mistake I made trying to wash it with well water. I did not wipe it down quickly enough as I was going to wax it. Big mistake. Silver decals on door side had spot I simply could not remove. I took it to several places getting quotes to replace decals. One RV repair company indicated they would not replace them as it will happen again. They remove and paint the decals. I went that way and painted decals are fine, and hopefully I will not screw them up again. Actually I tried the 3M rubberized wheel designed to remove decals (as I had seen on decal videos on the internet) and it promptly went right into the paint to the metal. I actually got one off but had a mess on my hands. Had them painted on and could not be happier. I only had the silver decals painted on the door side and front, all the others were OK. Price was $1200, a little pricey but I had made such a mess that it was fix it ASAP. Another reason I chose to paint was that we have had two different occasions where someone damaged the back of our trailer in storage, and the same guy that painted the decals on for us had a nightmare trying to get them from LL. Sounds like a great deal if a dealer can get them made. Our paint matches the decals very well so we/I am a happy camper.

Went camping last week for the first time this year. Went to check out some civil war battle sites near Shiloh and Corinth TN/MS. Camped in north GA the first night the temperature was to get to 25. This was going to be a test for me keeping the camper warm etc. I had throughly winter proofed the trailer in December draining all lines blowing out lines etc.i had read the very detailed reports on this forum regarding winterizing.
Getting the trailer ready to go on a Friday I noticed the Oxygenics shower head was snapped off. What?? I had left it hanging in the normal position and there was water in the head and cutoff valve, snapped right there and head was laying in the floor. Hey no problem I can get another one and an RV supply or better yet Amazon. Due to timing I had to get one at Camping world, problem resolved but paid a premium as I did not have time to order on line before I left, price to pay for being careless.
The first night of trip while camped at a KOA type campground, I noticed the pump was running longer than usual when flushing or using any faucet. Later that night i had to use the toilet. I still had my socks on due to the very cold weather but as I was standing there could feel one foot getting very cold and wet! Houston we have a problem! Water was leaking from the toilet but nothing obvious. I hit the pump switch and again it kept running but I got on my hands an knees to check behind the toilet, sure enough there was a fine stream of water coming from the flush valve David had warned us about.Dang! Shut the pump off and it slowed so the crack was very fine, I could use the toilet but had to leave the pump off; I would turn it on for a few seconds to get just enough water to flush. I found a small RV supply place later the next day and paid a ridiculous price for the domestic 300/310 valve but wet feet made me do it. It was super simple to replace and now I even have an extra (purchased another one off the internet for less than 1/2 what I paid for the first one) When I got home I had to winterize again and this time I simply disconnected the water line to toilet and blew the valve out with a compressor line.
So for almost three years I have had our trailer and continue to think I have just about got it all down, but each trip I take I continue to learn new stuff or lessons! Sometimes the learning curve can be quite lengthly!

Livin Lite General Discussion / Wheel Tire Covers
February 05, 2018, 06:43:00 PM
I purchased inexpensive tire covers two years ago to cover my new at the time Maxxis tires. Fast forward two years and the covers are falling apart. They are light gray in color and are for tandem wheels/tires. They are cracked and faded badly so I decided to purchase new ones. I researched this topic on this forum but could not find anything. So I decided to buy SnapCover individual wheel covers. Best price by far through JC Whitney but takes a week or so to get here. I am retired so I can wait for a $30.00 savings.
The real point of this post is a YouTube post on wheel covers especially the color. I did not want white as they were only available in black or white, but the YouTube post showed that black covers actually cooked the tires in high heat situations. So i purchased white. Supposedly they are a snap to put on (I only use them in storage between trips) but will report how well they work when I get them.
We are two months away from the three year anniversary on our 2015 21BHS and virtually trouble free.

I used Fast Eddie's 4x4 block remedy. Works great and no other blocks to carry along; we have had our trailer for two years now and have seen some high and low areas to lower the stabilizers. No issues and since they are wood I just put them on gravel, dirt, grass etc. The approximate 4 inches thick block covers 95% of the issues you may run into.
Just a note that if you have an issue where the extra four inches on the stabilizer are not enough, make dang sure you have your wheels correctly chocked or you may be calling a tow truck!

kitty Hawk in on my list of camping stops in August, no date set yet probably around late August around end of month.  Read several books on the Wright Brothers and Kitty Hawk is definitely windy which is why they choose that location to test their gliders!

Camping General Discussions / Humidity
June 30, 2017, 05:54:41 PM
Recently celebrated two years with our 21BHS.

Just wanted to comment on one of the best suggestions we got off this forum.

We are currently in SC, one of the top five most humid states in the union and currently raining.

We have a house GE dehumidifier inside the trailer(set on 50%) that runs in order to keep the temperature up enough to run the AC. The temperature inside is 73 degrees and humidity is less than 50%. This is absolutely one of the top three things we have done to make our CL more comfortable. The dehumidifier does not ever leave the trailer! This will not work boon docking but we do not BD that much.

Happy Camping!

Merlin thanks for the info on a dimmer, are you saying this dimmer will work on your factory LED light? Our 2015 21BHS came with LED lighting.
