Tow Vehicles / Re: Toyota Tacoma as a TV
June 04, 2020, 08:17:20 AM
We own a 2015 Tacoma and I'm 6'2" and have no problem with "fitting" in the cab.  Plenty of head room.  Like its been said, find one and sit in it.

Camping General Discussions / Re: Kitty Hawk camping

Last year we spent some time at the OBs at the Oregon Inlet campground.  Fairly nice campground with amenities (showers and restrooms) but was extremely cold and windy.  Beautiful area though with great access to the beaches.  Went out toward Ocracoke campground which was really beautiful.  Will be going back to camp at Ocracoke sometime later this year.  Both areas are beautiful, just be prepared for coolness and wind.

Camplite and Bearcat Travel Trailers / Re: Tires
February 17, 2017, 07:33:02 PM
Could possibly be one of two things, although a combination of a number of different issues could cause this issue.  First could be the alignment of the axles/tires on the trailer.  Second could be the tow vehicle alignment.  From reading your note below re: tire wear on the inside of tires on both sides of the trailer - sounds as if you may have a toe out issue with the trailer axles/spindles.

No problem.  I am sure that there are others that have questions relating to items installed in or on their TT's.  I am not trying to lobby for the other forum, but Dan Miller has compiled quite an extensive listing of manuals for components that Livinlite has used in the construction of their trailers.  Some may want to have a sign on account just to gather information on these manuals.  The appliance section has, by far, the most comprehensive listing of items installed.

Sorry, forgot that a sign on was needed.  Still check the other forum occasionally to see what is new.  This should work better.....

This is from past experience last year.  If your battery voltage drops the propane detector will begin to chirp and, with low enough voltage, will continuously alarm.  So you may not have a leak

We saw one at the Grand Canyon this summer and really liked it.  As you said, well thought out on the interior and especially liked the bike rack on the front of the trailer.  Although at almost $37,000 it is a little out of my price range.

Here is another aluminum trailer that is very unique, made in Canada also.  Several good videos on YouTube on this product.

Here is what the NADA guide shows for value for the Quicksilver 8.0.  The snap situation is a fairly simple repair that you could do yourself, just need the snaps and a snap setting tool (Amazon).  The fan/light package was at one time an option but it is shown on the Livinlite website as standard equipment now.  You will notice that the awning is not shown on the NADA screenshot, that is because they don't list just an awning. It seems to be a good price for the trailer - you should go for it.  Enjoy!

Member Introductions / Hello from Georgia....
December 28, 2016, 01:24:22 PM
We have been on this forum for a while but have not posted as we have been busy with the holidays and the traveling that is associated with them.  We have a Quicksilver 8.1 anniversary edition tent trailer with the off road package and a Toyota Tacoma double cab 4x4.  We do extended trips to the west coast, visiting relatives, places we have been before and new places.  We are definitely glad to be here and excited that others of the "family" are moving to this forum also.  Look forward to hearing from others re: trips, camping experiences, favorite camping spots and mods.
