Also what engine does the Sienna have. If it is less than 3 liters then that will be an issue as well.

Hi David.  Thank you for this feedback.  It is helpful.

The Sienna has a 3.5L V6

Tow Vehicles / Minivan as TV
April 03, 2021, 11:08:44 PM
Hello.  I'm looking to hear some feedback on minivans as TV for the smaller CL trailers.  Next week, we will be taking ownership of a 2012 CL 13BHB.

Our 2011 Sienna AWD is spec'd at hauling 3500#, and the '12 CL is 3000# with 180# tongue (spec, unofficial).

FWIW -- Up until recently I was feeling pretty confident about it.  Now, as the gears are turning (pun intended), and I start thinking about some future winter ski trips, I'm on the fence and would love to hear about y'all's experience.  I am entertaining a Sequoia to replace it, if necessary.

Did I mention we will also be carrying 3 kids and a dog?

Thanks!

Merci!  This is perfect!

I will send you a DM if you would be willing to send me some more information about this.  Small is OK -- the 3rd kid is young enough to fit in that for a while!

To clarify, the bunk shown in the video below (at 3:00) is what I'm looking to retrofit in place of cabinets that are already installed.

Thanks!

Patience is a virtue.  They are out there.  Believe it or not there was one on FB Marketplace two months ago just outside of Nashville, TN that sold pretty quickly.  keep looking.  Use searchtempest.com to search craigslist nationwide.  Tip you have to do three keyword searches on searchtempest.  "livin lite"  "livinlite" (no space) and "Camplite"  Craigslist is funny about how it searches.  I've seen some on one keyword and not on another.   Keep searching on RVtrader.com and RVT.com two websites that a lot of RV dealers post to.

Don't think it is something you can retrofit with a tip out.  Too much structural integrity would be compromised.

Good Luck.

Thanks for the encouragement.  I'll keep an eye out..

In the meantime, I may have been a little unclear about the bunk I'm looking to retrofit -- Not a "tip out", but the bunk seen in the video here at 3:00

I hope that helps.  Thanks!

Trailers for Sale / WTB: 13BHB w/ Optional Fold Out Bunk
November 29, 2020, 05:05:57 PM
Hello.  New to the forum, and I have no idea if this is a needle in a haystack kind of search...  Looking for a 13BHB w/ the Optional Fold Out Bunk for our family of 5 to tow with a minivan!

I have another post in another thread asking if it's possible to retrofit this Fold Out Bunk in place of the cabinets -- so if you have any leads on that angle, please let me know.

Thanks!

Hello forum.  Has anyone retrofitted the "optional fold out bunk" where the storage cabinets are in any of the DB models?  Thanks!
