I just reserved a campsite in a National Forest campground here in Michigan using my new Interagency Senior Pass. The half price on the camping fee sure looks good! It will be our first trip without any hookups, so we'll see how we do without the umbilical cords.
Approximately eight years ago I qualified for and bought a Senior Pass for $35 at a California NP. That day I saved half of the cost of the pass. Since then I have saved hundreds. Today my wife, my daughter's family and I pulled in to Denali NP. We saved $40 on the entrance fee for four of us. This is one of the best deals the government offers. Buy one as soon as you qualify- age 60 I think.

Just saw this post today- sorry I am late to the dance. 😊 I checked out the interagency thing and you have to be 62. Here is the link: http://www.fs.fed.us/passespermits/senior.shtml
