Anyone have a quick fix for window shades that won't stay up? The long dinette shade on my 2018 21bhs has lost its friction and keeps falling down.

Gary,
I couldn't understand your problem until I watched the video. My shades roll up from the bottom and lock into 3 or 4 preset heights with spring driven pins. No slipping. The screens roll down from the top to lock onto the shades. Looks like you're the victim of another Thor cost saving "Upgrade". :(
You must have an older version? These ones are simply held up by friction. There's no locking detents. I'll take it apart it and MacGyver something up myself, but wanted to see if anyone had a recommendation before I do it.
Yes, mine's a pre-Thor 2014 model. Don't know when they changed the shades but apparently they did. @Paul has a recent model so maybe he has some thoughts. I wonder if they just didn't start using whatever they had around the KZ shop in their close down process.
Apparently, quite a few people are having this same issue with these new shades on the Facebook owners group. Seems to only be affecting the big slide windows though due to the longer/heavier shade. Looks like I'll be taking it apart in the near future.
Figured it out.. just pop the corners off the shade, loosen the phillips and 5/64" allen screws and pull the white string tighter to increase tension. Repeat on opposite side.
Thank you Gary for finding this. I don't have any problem with mine so far but might later!
