Title: Ford Transit Connect
Post by: catmanriff on March 30, 2018, 01:46:15 PM
I have been towing the QS10.0 with the F150 , which handles the trailer easily. I was looking at buying a 2108 Ford Transit connect. It would be in addition to my truck, not a substitute.  It's listed at 2000 lbs towing with the factory installed kit. 200 lbs tongue weight. We probably have 150 lbs of stuff inside  the trailer, putting it around 1350lbs loaded.

The transit will be of value for my audio business, commuting and for camping too.

Anyone with experience with ?Transit Connects, advice, hunches?

Couple of quick (and admittedly leading) questions. Does your camper have brakes? Have you ever weighed it or the tongue fully loaded? If it has brakes and the real-world weights are well within the Transit's capability (and you can use it for your sound business too) it may be worth a consideration. As always, I suggest you make sure you like the vehicle in it's own right before you buy!
