Anyone know the ball size on 2018 16TBS?
And the height to the top of the coupler ball socket when the trailer is level?
Making a 900 mile trip to get our trailer and want to arrive with the correct stuff.
TIA!
All Camplite trailers now need the 2-5/16" hitch ball. Someone with the newer single axle 16TBS will need to weigh in on the hitch height, because I have the double axle that could be different.
Our 2017 16 TBS, single axle, ball height is about 24". Hope that helps.
How exciting that you're ready to pick up your camper!
BTW, pay no attention to the setup in my profile picture. This is how our dealer set up and of course the front cargo bin was empty but I thought the front was too high even after we loaded up. We travel much more level to a slight nose down now.

Wow 24" is really high. Do you happen to have the offroad package?

No offroad package. It is quite a bit higher than our old 13 RDB but it has the larger 15" wheels too.
I just measured my hitch height and the height of the rise on our Andersen hitch. Tomorrow when it's daylight I'll go out to the camper and double check it there but I think 24" is pretty close.
My 16TBS with the double axle, 13" wheels, Dexter torsion suspension, and no off-road package sits only 16" off the ground to the top of the hitch ball when level.
Picked it up- marathon 2200 mile round trip.
Ball height needed is close to 21".
Livin Lite owner's manual included with the trailer clearly states ALL of their trailers use a 2" ball!
WRONG!
Glad I didn't download that and not ask here...
Whew! You conquered some tough times to get that one home. Good work. I'm looking forward to your upcoming camping trips reports :)
I finally remembered to double check my hitch height and I was off. It is closer to 22". Glad you got it home!
