I just purchased a 2012 CL11RD that I hope to pickup later this month. It has a stove, sink, small refrigerator, TV, radio and AC. I'm paying roughly $7800 after taxes. To me it seemed like a good deal.
It doesn't have a bath, but most of our camping is done in state parks and we use their facilities.
Since it has no water tanks, other than a portable one, winterizing should be very quick and easy.
I also have a 2015 16DB and a Camp Inn teardrop, so this one will be sized in between those two.
Do you think $7800 is a decent price?
Anyone else with this model?
I would have a difficult time judging the price of a used Camplite without seeing it. This is a model that is 5 years older than the 2017's that are on the market now. Being that it is pre-Thor, it should bring a premium price, due to the aluminum roof, floor and cabinets with the airplane-type latches and piano hinges. What other equipment did the previous owner throw in with it? Batteries, battery box, propane tank, for example? Wear, pre-Thor, and add-ons affect the price.
I've not seen it in person, only pics on a website. It is at a out of state dealer. The pics look good. It shows a battery box and propane tank in the pics. It is a pre Thor, so that was a positive thing. I see new 11 footers going for nearly 20K now. , but they have many more options in them. I trust that it is in good condition. I guess, I'll see, when I get there. It said it had microwave, but I didn't see it in any of the pics. It also appears to have a propane furnace from what I can see in one of the pics.
Might be worth the trip to get eyes 👀 on. They may have it under valued or it may have issues.
