I have beefed up the rear bumper on my 21 RBS and installed our bike rack there. We are preparing to go on a two month trip up to Maine for the summer.
I just finished installing a backup camera at the back of the trailer.
My last challenge,before we leave, is how and where to transport our 32 gal. Barker Tote n Store honeypot.
One idea is some type of bracket on the right rear of the bumper. I would have to locate some frame to support the unit. Another idea is some type of horizontal mount at the LP tanks, like the tray they sell for a generator.
Not keen on transporting it inside the Suburban, all wrapped up.
Any ideas???!!

Our Mighty 11 does not have a toilet, so I don't have experience with a honey pot type container. We use a port-pottie to prevent night time pee trips to the restroom. Store & transport our empty port-pottie under the bed. I clean the exterior of the port-pottie daily with Clorox wipes.
Is it reasonable to consider transporting the empty container under the bed loaded and unloaded using the exterior door? Assuming container exterior can be cleaned so there is no odor or sanitation issues.
Just a thought.

I presume you are going to camp in one place for an extended period and that is why you need the honey pot. I suspect with 28 gallons of black water storage we can go for more than a week, maybe two if necessary. But if you are going to be in one place longer than that I can see why you need it.
A 30 gallon honey pot will weigh about 250 lbs full. I wouldn't put that on any bumper or tongue. But you won't be doing that, right. You will just carry the empty container on your trailer and then when you need to empty your black water tank you will fill it and transport it in your Suburban.

It already happened to me to be at a campgrounds with no water/sewer hookup but in my case I had no water left, I tried carry some water with a aquatainer but it was too heavy and hard to lift to fill my trailer I ended up just driving to the dump station with the trailer and filled with water there and dumped since I was there, not sure how much trouble it would be for you to do that but at the campground I was it was easy to do and not far.
Thanks for the response. The Barker Tote is too big to fit under the bed. I will be ordering a Stromberg Carlson Trailer Tray that mounts over the LP tanks. I will secure the Tote to the tray. If I ever determine I need a Yamaha generator, I will install it on the tray when we set up camp.
I have installed the trailer tray and modified the Barker Tote so that I had a way to secure it to the tray and to lock it up. I am attaching some photos showing the result.

Nice work. I wish I could do that, but I installed a dual battery box that would be in the way of the Trailer Tray support brackets. Hmmm......
