Title: Prices of new Livin lites
Post by: Popup2012 on February 01, 2017, 12:37:34 AM
In looking at some of the new prices for Camplites, are they cutting the prices?  I have seen a 11 for 17,900, a 14 for 20,9oo and a 16tbs for 23,900. All of these were on RV Trader in the past couple of days

I must admit that I stopped paying attention to the prices once I purchased my Camplite in 2014. However, considering that now there is a membrane roof and a composite floor, these prices seem too high.

After having both roofs and floors  I politely agree with you about the roof (except when it's pouring down rain...I do not miss that noise!) and I politely disagree with you on the composite floor...I haven't found any real-world negatives after 15 months of ownership.

Per seedealercost.com:
11FK: Invoice: 14295 plus 2500 for xl package
14DB: invoice:18195    """
14DBS: invoice: 19395  """"
16TBS: invoice: 20595  """"

So it sounds like the pricing you found is around 900 over invoice..ish.    Not to bad really in the RV market.

During my shopping for a 16 footer last fall I found that suddenly more dealers are coming in closer SIRV which for years seemed to have the best new prices. It seems a couple years ago there were more dealers but only one or two came close to SIRV prices. I'm glad SIRV is the closest dealer to me!

Also dual axle versus single on newer 14DBS.

And leaf springs are cheaper than torsion springs of the same make and load rating. That single axle thing on models less than 21 has to be a big savings too.

Look at Sunny Island RV, they have 2017 16TBS for 24,995 and a 2017 DBS for 23,995. Quite a discount from what they were selling for.
