Title: wheel wells leaking...
Post by: dirk on June 19, 2016, 09:28:01 PM
Drove through our first big rain storm and found water on the floor of our trailer.
Next day I started looking for the source of the leak.
The plastic wheel wells were not sealed with anything but foam rubber tape.
I was hoping this trailer was not like many of the others I've looked at.
Cutting quality workmanship to make a profit or having people build your trailers without any care if they make a mistake seems to be the way things are made now.

you are not the first one that had that problem, I know a few people that had to seal them again. I was lucky I had no problem with my wheel wells. Good luck with this!

Dirk,

Sometimes water will seep between the aluminum planks while towing in heavy rain. It did not cause problems with the aluminum plank floor, no rust or rot. Probably towed the Mighty 11 over 20,000 miles, did get a little water during heavy rain.

Had the same issue with ours.  Took it back to the dealer and it was repaired and covered by warranty.
