Title: Fresh Water Tank Protection
Post by: Powder Hounds on April 26, 2023, 10:49:21 AM
Hi,

Finally added some protection for the fresh water tank. It has definitely taken some impacts over the years. Used a length of diamond plate rubber mat, 3/4" x 3/4" aluminum angle, self tapping metal screws and some blind rivets.

Did the same for our 16 TBS after tank damage on the interstate.  Need to do the same for the 21 RBS. Can't find the picture but I used cut down truck mud flaps.

Very nice addition!

We added two steel brackets to ours to be able to safely carry it full, to put more weight to the front and also boondocking more. The bracket I took off to model for the fabrication of the other two, was cracked and had to be repaired.

OMG, this is the fix I find myself needing right now. Took another hit, and now need a patch. Was trying to figure out if there was a way to help prevent this.
