Replaced the 7 pin plug and cable today. Purchased a new plug/cable assembly at Redneck Trailer Supply.

Hi Bill, nice work!  I could probably use your method to change my cable and add resistors as my Ford Escape doesn't support LED light right now I use an adaptor, but I probably won't since I plan to buy a 2016 Ford F150 in June

Since you are on the subject of 7 pin plug, should I put some kind of grease in it to prevent corrosion?

Thanks!

The F-150 is a highly recommended pickup by Consumer Reports.

Have not used grease in the past, but this looks like a good product and I should start using it, too.
