Title: Cracked material around bathroom skylight.
Post by: tbwrench on August 17, 2021, 02:23:30 AM
Hi,

Is the material around the skylight Dicor? I was up on my trailer roof today and have seen that it's cracking/ cracked and will need replacing. Thanks!

On my 2015 16TBS it is self-leveling Dicor. I have caulked the cracks over time, but it's to the point now I really need to remove and recaulk this fall, along with some other places up there. I'm going to replace the skylight at the same time; those don't last forever.

Have you sourced the skylight out? Any idea where to get one? My unit is a 2015 21BHS. I've also noted that there are 2 vents (toilet I'm assuming) that also have cracking sealant around them, very near the skylight that are also cracking.

Both Camping World and the RV Upgrade Store have a wide variety of sizes and colors in stock for skylights. This time around, I'll probably get white translucent to help with heat control. The OEM skylight is transparent smoke.

One of the vents is the black tank and one is the grey tank. Sounds like you need to stock up on self-leveling caulk!  ;)
