Title: Moab, UT campground recommendations
Post by: gbpack on March 20, 2019, 12:47:09 PM
Hi everyone! Joan & I will be going up (from AZ) to Wyoming this summer and will be passing though the east side of Utah on our way up. Planning on spending some time in the Moab area and seeing Arches and Canyonlands NP's. Was wondering if anyone has any recommendations for a good campground to stay at around there. We like electricity for sure and some times we get full hook-ups if they are available. Are looking around on AllStays as well but would be interested in hearing about the ones you like. Thanks! Gregg

When you go through Moab, be sure to take your JGC on the "Hell's Revenge" ORV trail.  8) (Just don't try it with your camper in tow.  ;D)

Anyway, kidding aside, when are going to make the trip? (Or PM me if you don't want to advertise dates on the open forum).

We stayed at Spanish Trail Campground in Moab.  We really liked it.  Full hookup sites and a decent bath house.

Moab Valley RV Resort is OK too and a bit closer to the parks. Little shade but full hookups and close to Moab.

We have stayed at archview RV resort and campground while tent camping because we wanted showers after a few days of primitive camping.  The bathhouse was clean and the tent sites had shade.  It seemed to be popular staging campground for the ORV'ers.

Thanks everyone for the recommendations.  We made reservations at Moab Valley RV Park (Thanks Charlie!). Looking forward to exploring that area this summer!
