Title: Overhead Doors
Post by: dlb53151 on October 15, 2018, 11:16:13 PM
Has anyone installed something like cylinder struts to hold the overhead doors open?  They are a PITA to deal with when trying to load stuff in there since the doors don't hold open.  I prefer to not have to drill into them to bolt on a fastener though.

Yes, a bunch of us.  The search feature here is a little inconsistent, but google always works.
Try searching "site:aluminumcamperforum.com overhead"

First result was this thread that contains this pic:

Thanks - I think the difference is that since my doors are aluminum I can't drill into them.  (I can but I would prefer to not mess with the face of the door with a bolt through it).  Super glue doesn't hold the bracket.

I think I've seen where folks have used these or something similar with success.
